Oracle Enterprise Manager plug-in

SQL Server Plug-in

General AvailabilityEM 24ai24.1.1.0.0EM 13.513.5.1.0.0October 2026
SQL Server 2016 to 2025Windows and Linux

This release ships as two plug-in builds with the same features: one for Enterprise Manager 24ai and one for Enterprise Manager 13.5. Enterprise Manager decides whether it will accept a plug-in from the toolkit it was built with, not from its version number, so the two are not interchangeable — install the build that matches your Enterprise Manager. Everything in this guide applies to both.

It monitors Microsoft SQL Server from Oracle Enterprise Manager: availability, configuration, performance, queries, deadlocks, indexes, space and AlwaysOn availability groups — with console pages, alert thresholds, compliance rules and jobs that act on what you find.

One plug-in and one target type cover every supported version and both agent platforms. There is no separate build per SQL Server release, and no separate story for Windows.

SQL Server 2016 and 2017 collect every metric family, with two families returning less detail than on 2019 and later. Prerequisites has the specifics.

This is the generally available release of the plug-in. It covers the target type, its 78 metric groups and 14 console pages, the 20 shipped thresholds, the 14 compliance rules, the 11 job types and the connection options, every one of them deployed and exercised against live SQL Server instances before shipping. Everything we know to be incomplete or unproven is in the boundaries list in What’s new rather than left for you to discover.

The Open Beta has ended. Its plug-in (ip.em.xmsb) is separate from this one, so moving to the general release is a fresh install, not an upgrade, and beta licence keys stop working on 2026-10-31. See Moving from the Open Beta.

Send findings - bugs, metrics that look wrong, thresholds that fire when they should not, unclear documentation - to helpdesk@integrationplumbers.io. Every email opens a ticket you can follow in the customer portal, or open the ticket there directly. Troubleshooting says what to include.
